FADEBRIDGE / SUPPORT
Let’s get
you playing.
Setup help, troubleshooting, and a place to report problems.
Start here.
- Open the audio apps you want to use.
- Open FadeBridge from the menu bar. Choose your primary source and a different secondary source for background music.
- Allow system-audio capture when macOS asks. This lets FadeBridge monitor and route your selected sources; microphone access is not needed.
- Start playback in your source apps, then start FadeBridge. Confirm your output device and volume before a live session.
- Adjust silence detection and the separate fade durations to suit your setup. Change settings while FadeBridge is stopped.
Common questions.
How do I start the trial or restore my subscription?
Open Subscription from FadeBridge’s menu-bar controls. Choose Subscribe and confirm Apple’s offer to start the two-week trial if eligible, followed by US $4.99/month; local prices vary. Downloading alone does not start billing. If you already subscribed with the same Apple Account, choose Restore Purchases. Manage or cancel through your App Store account settings.
What happens if my subscription expires during a session?
Your current audio session continues until you stop it. An active subscription or trial is required to start a new routing session. Stop and audio recovery remain available.
I can’t hear audio.
Check your Mac’s selected output device, hardware volume, and the source apps’ playback and volume. Stop FadeBridge to check direct playback from the primary app. Be aware that stopping releases both sources, so pause the secondary first if you want primary audio only.
My audio app isn’t in the list.
Open the app, start playback, and refresh the source list. Look under All apps as well as Suggested sources. macOS may not expose an audio process until the app starts producing audio.
Background music starts during a quiet passage.
Silence detection measures audio level, not whether a song has ended. Increase the silence delay or lower the silence threshold to make switching less sensitive to quiet passages.
I changed or unplugged my output device.
Check the output selected in macOS and confirm primary audio is audible. If FadeBridge entered recovery, restart routing once the output is stable. Test your setup before a performance.
Does FadeBridge include music or media licenses?
No. Bring your own audio apps and appropriately licensed content. You are responsible for any permissions needed for public performance or commercial use.
