Amperative develops hardware and software products.
Our work ranges from circuit boards and embedded electronics to standalone applications such as FadeBridge. Each starts with a practical question: what would make this work better for the person using it?
We work from the details of a circuit to the way an application feels to use, with design decisions informed by prototyping, testing, and everyday operation.
CAPABILITIES
Circuit design and printed circuit board development, with attention to component selection, power delivery, mechanical fit, and the practical details of assembly and testing.
Hardware and firmware developed together. Our work connects microcontrollers, sensors, interfaces, and power electronics to the behavior a device needs to deliver.
Prototyping, measurement, and iteration to investigate technical questions. We use working hardware and test results to inform the next design decision.
Standalone applications and engineering tools, developed as products in their own right. Our software work includes FadeBridge, a macOS audio application for managing music between performances.
SOFTWARE / macOS
Keep the music flowing between performances.
FadeBridge is our macOS application for bringing in background music when a primary audio source goes quiet, then fading it out when the primary source resumes.
For DJs, karaoke hosts, and live-event operators, that means music between tracks, performances, and announcements without manually adjusting a second application at every transition. Choose the primary and background audio applications, then adjust the silence detection and fade timing to suit the session.

Identify the intended behavior, physical constraints, interfaces, and operating conditions. Clear requirements give the design something concrete to work toward.
Develop the electronics and software with their interaction in mind. Prototypes help reveal the details that are difficult to resolve on paper alone.
Use measurements, testing, and hands-on operation to compare a design with its intended behavior. Document the findings and refine the next iteration.
